Dr. R. K. Goyal is currently a Professor and Head of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He has total experience of more than 24 years in the area of industries, research and academics. He had been working with College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) as an Associate Professor and Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Pune as a Scientist before joining MNIT Jaipur. He had been conferred PhD for his research on High Performance Polymer Matrix Micro- and Nanocomposites from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He has completed his Bachelor of Engineering from MNIT (formerly, Malaviya Regional Engineering College) Jaipur. He is the recipient of best PhD thesis award or G. C. Jain Memorial award by the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI). He has guided 2 PhD, 33 M. Tech. scholars and 33 groups of B. Tech. students so far and presently guiding 4 more PhD and 3 M. Tech. research scholars. He has more than 70 International and National research publications, 80 plus conference publications. Many administrative positions including treasurer (of The Indian Institute of Metals Pune Chapter) and treasurer of student co-operative society of CoEP were held by him over the past. He has also organized STP/FDP, national and international level seminars, workshops and conferences. He is the reviewer of several internationally acclaimed journals in the field of metallurgical and materials engineering. Currently, he is also vice-chairman of “The Indian Institute of Metals Jaipur Chapter”.
